Great White Buffalo by Ted Nugent ------------------- Well listen everybody To what I got to say There's hope for tomorrow If we wake up today. It happened long ago In the new magic land, The Indian and the buffalo Existed hand in hand. The Indian needed food And skins for a roof But they only took what they needed Millions of buffalo were the proof. Then came the white man, With his thick and empty head. He couldn't see past his billfold, He wanted all the buffalo dead. But I can hope, hope, hope, And I can pray, pray, pray, And I can still feel it, feel it, feel it, I feel it today. Above the canyon walls Some eyes did glow. The leader of the land, The Great White Buffalo. He found the battered herd And he led them 'cross the land. With the Great White Buffalo We can make a final stand. So listen everybody To what I got to say; There's hope for tomorrow If we wake up today. * The Great White Buffalo. The Great White Buffalo. The Great White Buffalo. *During the Spirit of the Wild Tour in the summer of 1997, Ted and the band inserted at this point either a couplet from Spirit of the Wild or two verses from Tooth, Fang, and Claw. These were inserted into a long instrumental jam that included themes from Great White Buffalo as well as from themes from Hibernation. SOTW: With the Spirit of the Wild running free I got the Spirit of the Wild inside of me. TFC: The red man walked on the sacred hillside. The black man still runs in Africa. But Fred Bear he stalked the amber prairies. We all gotta live by nature's law. I'm gonna live tooth, fang, and claw. I'm gonna live and I'll live my way. Watch me live tooth, fang, and claw. Watch me live an extra day.
