There's hope for tomorrow

In the new magic land,
The Indian and the buffalo

The Indian needed food
And skins for a roof
But they only took what they needed
Millions of buffalo were the proof.

Then came the white man,
With his thick and empty head.
He couldn't see past his billfold,
He wanted all the buffalo dead.

But I can hope, hope, hope,
And I can pray, pray, pray,
And I can still feel it, feel it, feel it,
I feel it today.

Above the canyon walls
Some eyes did glow.
The leader of the land,
The Great White Buffalo.

He found the battered herd
And he led them 'cross the land.
With the Great White Buffalo
We can make a final stand.

*During the Spirit of the Wild Tour in the summer of 1997, Ted and the
band inserted at this point either a couplet from Spirit of the Wild or
two verses from Tooth, Fang, and Claw. These were inserted into a long
instrumental jam that included themes from Great White Buffalo as well as
from themes from Hibernation.
